MURRAY, Ky. - Services for Ruby M. Hargis, 80, of Estero, Fla., formerly of Murray, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Virgil Hale officiating. Burial will be at Murray Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hargis died Thursday at her home.
A Calloway County native, she was formerly employed by Murray State Food Service and Boone Laundry. Mrs. Hargis was a member of Kirksey Church of Christ.
Surviving are one daughter, Judith Darnell of Coldwater; one son, Ronald Hargis of Murray; two sisters, June Windsor and Linda Black, both of Murray; one brother, Daymond Carson of Kirksey; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Hargis; one brother; and one grandson. Her parents were James L. Carson and Ola Filbeck Carson.
Friends may call after 6 this evening at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Angels Community Clinic, 1005 Poplar St., Murray, KY 42071.
